During Elul. the month of reflection prior to Rosh Hashana, whether we understand Adam and Eve historically, symbolically, or archetypally, we celebrate the birth of humanity itself in the Creation Process. It reminds us that every human being carries Divine breath and is continually invited to begin again.
Compassionate Elul Self-Reflection Exercises:
The following prompts invite you to gentle and self- compassionate reflection of your o life. Not a judge. Not a critic. Simply a loving observer, gently noticing what rises within your soul as you review the following prompts and think about this past year-
what are you ready to heal, release, forgive, realign? What relationships or responsibilities and you ready improve? Simply listen from within......
Returning to Yourself
Where have I become disconnected from my truest self?
What parts of me have I neglected this year?
When have I felt most deeply alive and aligned?
Where am I being invited to return to my authentic self?
Returning to Love
Where has fear spoken louder than love?
When have I reacted instead of responded?
What beliefs no longer reflect who I am becoming?
What burdens am I ready to lay down?
Returning to Others
Is there someone I need to forgive?
Is there someone from whom I need to seek forgiveness?
What relationship longs for greater honesty, compassion, or healing?
Where can I offer more kindness, beginning with myself?
Returning to the Divine
Where have I sensed the Sacred this year?
Where has God quietly been inviting me to grow?
What has life been trying to teach me?
What is my soul longing for now?
Preparing for the New Year
What do I want to carry forward?
What am I ready to release?
What intention will become my compass in the coming year?
If I trusted Divine Love completely, how would I live differently?
